As part of its efforts to preserve and promote tangible and intangible Jewish-Moroccan heritage, A.J.M has decided to celebrate the Mimouna festival in Tangier on 13 April 2023. This event, which celebrates the end of Pesach, follows a typically Moroccan ritual, during which Jewish homes are opened to welcome Jewish and Muslim families and neighbours.
With the active support of the Jewish Community of Tangier, a magnificent reception, open to the general public of the city, was organised on the premises of the Community circle. Guests were able to enjoy the delights of a buffet reflecting the traditional customs of the festivities until late at night, and were introduced to a part of Moroccan-Jewish culture.
